TOFAS will develop and also follow a comprehensive, reliable and experimental methodology for building the ATT vehicles. After successful building processes of hardware and software sides of the vehicles, there will be tests conducted on virtual environment compatible with ROS environment and on the TOFAS test track The digital twins of the ATTs will guide the possible errors that could be occur in real-life. TOFAS ensures that positioning errors will be prevented and fixed before testing on the track. Additionally, TOFAS will provide a cost-effective solution instead of GNSS so that ATT vehicles can operate efficiently both in indoor and outdoor environment. TOFAS will also develop various traffic scenarios for three level-5 autonomous vehicles and demonstrate the test cases at TOFAS test track in Bursa, free from regular traffic. To summarize, TOFAS is the pilot leader for WP5 and responsible for development and integration of all the software and hardware components for the autonomous tow truck vehicles.
